The famous Zig zag was designed by Gerrit Rietveld between 1932 and 1934. This is a model of chair that surpasses every previous design: it does not have legs but only horizontal planes with a diagonal support. It can be said that it is a kind of Rietvelds re elaboration of the cantilever, the chair without the rear legs, but with an absolutely original
