Hence its popular name, "parrot clasp." The clasp was made by silversmith G. Lazonder from Schoonhoven. He used this hallmark from 1816 to 1824. The bracket is marked with the master's mark L under a crown, Minerva head, date letter J for 1818 and second content mark. Below the button a village with a church tower is depicted.
