The case has a camera style body of gold tone metal with snakeskin surfaces. The lid to the compact has a spring and opens by pressing on the shutter button at the top of the case. Under the lid is a framed mirror and the powder well in the base is clean with original sifter. The "winder" at the top of the case is an empty lipstick holder. The reverse of the case has lift up
