1925 Print Temple Chichen Itza Post Lintel Nusbaum Mexico YucatanMaya NGM2 XGW1 a building of Les InvalidesThis is an original 1925 halftone print of a post and lintel structure that holds particular importance for the archeological site of Chichen Itz because the lintel presented the oldest date found at that site. Interestingly, the posts are ill fitted to the lintel, which implies that the lintel was originally designed for a narrower doorway. Photography by J. L. Nusbaum.
